Title: Replacement tach needle
Post by: willi2ds on August 05, 2016, 11:40:45 pm
So I bought a factory tach cluster awhile ago and at some point being stored the tach's needle broke, the other needles literally crumbled when u touched them as well. I know I can swap the other needles from another parts truck I have, but any suggestions on the tach needle? I'd rather not have to buy another tach when I know this one works.
Any help would be appreciated.

It should be the same needle as the speedometer.

Ok thx, I thought I read the speedometer needle needed to be turned instead of pulled.

Any tips on getting the needle lined up correctly? I thought about hooking up an autometer tach and let the truck idle to get a base number then try and match that with the cluster tach

That should work as long as both tachs are working properly.
