Hi all, narrowing down exterior color for my 1985 GMC K1500, thinking a Woodland Green/Dark Green exterior; I also believe it is the same paint code in PPG for Glenwood green on earlier trucks(pre-75)
My dilemma now is interior colors and matching it to the exterior-all metal surfaces will be the exterior color, so that leaves the seat, dash pad and door panels to match.
Any interior pictures of factory trucks that are Woodland Green/Dark Green/Glenwood Green; are much appreciated. I would like to stay away from a black interior or a dark grey interior.
I have had very little luck finding interior pics or color combo options.
Thank you.

Been looking through that, nothing really on 1985, but 86 lists a couple interior color options, lets, see if I remember them-charcoal, mahogany burgundy, blue or saddle tan. nothing that really tells me what color would have gone with a green exterior.
Charcoal is the black or very dark grey, so off the list. Burgundy and Blue I think will look weird, so that I guess would leave Mahogany and Saddle Tan-both were options before, but I can't picture it in my mind as to how it looks. I am a very visual kind of guy, need to see how it looks before making a decision.
Quick question- 77 had Emerald Green as an option-google wasn't that helpful, but I know it is a metallic paint, is it similar in color to a Dark Green/ Woodland Green?? or is it a lighter green?

I have the 85 Facts book, the same binder that the dealerships had

Does that say anything? The 86 fact book didn't seem to say anything, nor did the truck pamphlets.
Anyways, threw a maroon visor into the freshly painted scrap tailgate. I guess I'm not great with colors so what's everyone think? Will maroon still look ok as an interior color?

This is Dark Jade Semi-metallic, it is supposed to be pretty darn close to GM Dark Green.

If I was going to get a green vehicle, only 3 colors look good for the interior - tan and/or brown, light and/or dark grey, all black or black with grey or tan/brown.
Green is just one of those colors that you have to be careful with on the interior or it will look terrible.

A tan, dark brown or rust would look good.....but you'll probably have to go custom to get those. I am painting the 37 dark green for the cab exterior, interior and the stake bed with a cream pinstripe and cream wheels with rings and moons and the interior upholstery will be a dark chocolate along with the fenders

my 84 was originally dark brown and it has whats left from a tan interior. i think the lighter interior looks good with the dark paint. i think if you had dark green paint and nice clean light tan interior it would look very nice. i was also thinking about painting mine dark metallic green like that some time in the distant future.
