Post by: 2KH on July 04, 2006, 11:07:00 pm
Can the front clip and doors be swapped from a 1991 Suburban to a 79 chev pickup with out much trouble?

As far as i can tell the doors are ok and putting a front clip shouldnt be any problem. The only thing i think that will be different from a 79 to a 91 is the 2 frame brackets that hold the radiator support are different,BUT dont quote me on it i could be wrong...

thanks

The 91 Sub is complete and running so I could use the radiator from it if that is the only difference. Thanks for the input

the hinges for the hood will have to have a hole cut into the cowl area for them to bolt in.  The bushing for the rad support would be the ones from that model frame.  You need all the wiring from the donor and the everything that attaches to the fender and hood.  You also need the cowl panel and you will have to get the wiper system and it will require new bolt locations.
