getting closer to pulling my motor.
my plans are to take out alot of things that i dont need, like ac.
Im looking at my motor and it looks to me like theres a TON more wiring than there needs to be.
Honestly electrical wiring doesn't usually confuse me at all whether its cars, computers or other electronic devices. typically whatever the thing is usually just needs a power source and another wire or two. But im looking at the engine bay and it looks like theres way to many wires for whats under the hood which in my mind there should just be the engine components, headlights, fusebox, and maybe some wires form the firewall that are the wiring. to me it should look alot simpler since theres nothing crazy installed. it is fuel injected so theres is a little bit extra wiring, but still to me should look simpler.
Anyways it looks like to much and I want to start talking about this because when i put the motor back in my plans are to clean up the bay and do basically the bare minimum for wiring.
(having the motor run proper, have headlights, radio.... no ac no heat ) need some advice about where to start figuring how to plan this project because engine wiring is a whole new ball game to me.
yeah its a long way from being put back in the car because i will be sending it to a machine shop and building the motor a little bit i dont know maybe the block could turn out bad , i dont know yet but id still like to to know about bare minimum wiring for a simple build.

well ive never really wired anything on a car except for car stereos and speakers. im not really sure how to approach my goals.
ive thought about that concept though, but in alot of cases i will try to trace wires and then they will end up tracing back to a pile of wires that are all tapped up and i will get lost. i was hoping i can just rewire everything some how so that all the components i need are simple setup. maybe i need a wire diagram for the engine?
ive started too find loose ends in some of the wiring and im thinking mybe a few of them i can just elimnate from the equation. my plan is to tuck the ones i dont need because i assumed if i start cutting any wires i may run into problems, not sure about that though.
