Anyone have experience swapping out their old quadrajet with the Holley 550-510 Sniper TBI injection kit? My old quadrajet has been pissed with so many times it's unreal, I love the thing, but it's old, not configured correctly, therefor unreliable and has got to go.

If it weren't for the stock gm TBI system (which Howell sells kits: http://howellefi.com/ ) then i would probably go with Holley. Although, not the Sniper. i think they have another TBI system called commander or something.
My latest hankering is to just find a running 4.3 TBI longbed truck.

Any particular reason why you wouldn't go with the sniper?

Only because i like the stock GM system better, although the holley could be just as good.
Now it looks like they don't sell the commander system anymore(?) In that case i would consider the sniper more. The reason i originally would not prefer the sniper is because i don't necessarily want something new fangled and fancy---the latest gadget kind of thing. i just want something basic and something that gets the job done.

Ordered today, along with a new intake. Ended up going with the more expensive master kit version that contains the fuel pump and extra accessories. Will update accordingly.

Found a few videos on YouTube but still not much on others installs.
