Title: Are steering shafts swappable????
Post by: Deftones238 on October 09, 2016, 12:33:59 pm
I have a 76 c10 3speed column shift steering column. The shaft has messed up threads that hold the wheel. Can I take the shaft from a 75 c10 3speed floor shift and put it in with no issues? They look almost identical except the 3speed floor shaft has a shorter cut in it then my original. Both are automatic T350's. All my original column parts were good.

I've never seen a 73-87 with an auto trans & floor shifter from the factory.
Something doesn't sound right.
