We have seen some real shiny clean trucks on this site. However, most are juiced up, lifted, lowered, chromed out, heavily modified, etc, etc... and thats fine, but...
I dont believe i have ever seen a perfect and pure stock 73-87, as if the day it came off the assembly line. Do we have any out there? Its a difficult and expensive challenge to restore to this level, perfect numbers matching and everything, but i sure would like to see one, if one even exists.

Well, here's one that's pretty much 100%:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSQlX2EGNRo
Problems:
1) It's probably gone.
2) i can't trust someone that says "OK?" all the time; i get the impression that he only cares about the money.

Saw this one at Barrett Jackson last year, 1100 mile 1986. Sold for $26400 with fees

That would be hard to find. Especially a 73-76 with an original hood since they dont make that style anymore. Would be sweet though.

Those are nice!! That 75 is my favorite. However,,,does anyone on this site own one? Those are all "other" trucks. I'd like to see someone post their own.

Cool

A little cleaning, new rubber pedals, and a new dash pad my 84 is pretty darn nice for an original survivor. I still have the original steering wheel but prefer the newer style.
-
Besides the aluminum radiator, new intake manifold, usa radio and throttle body spacer mine is stock. Now in the process of making the interior back to stock.

My truck is a 1975 with 9000 miles on it, it was completely original when I bought it except for a spotlight on top and a sticker on the sides

Since I bought it last Dec. 9 I have put new rims on, sprayed John Deere blitz black on the bottom of the bed and the part of frame under the bed, I sprayed blitz black on the front fender liners, and on the radiator support, I have put in a new retrosound radio with new speakers, three point seat belts, a new seat for the three point seat belts, a new trim piece and bedlined the box with linex
Hopefully by next year if I have enough money I will put in a vintage air a/c, fix my tranny and put a gear vender over drive in it while I fix my tranny, I also want to paint under my cab, the frame under my can up to the engine bay, and I want to paint my engine, but we'll see I'm going to college so I might get to paint my engine and fix my tranny with no gear vendor, over the summer, if I'm lucky

Brewster thats a nice stock looking truck. Very nice. I'm way past original stock, but i'm trying to go all "stock looking", its gets challenging and expensive. Long process for me.

I'm new and have been perusing the site, but I figured I'd post up despite the thread being a little old...
This is my 4th 73-87 Chevy, the previous three were K5s. I have a motorcycle problem so I wanted a pickup next, it had to be a K20 or bigger with a 4 speed, and I lucked out and found this gem.
It's a 1986 K30, single rear wheel, one owner, 20,798 original miles, all original paint, from now defunct Smith Chevy in San Antonio. It also has the original radio and exhaust. I believe the 8000lb worm drive ramsey winch in the bed was dealer added as it was color matched, but I'm not 100% sure - it may have been added by a camper top company as the truck was fitted w a camper immediately after purchase, and I have an invoice for that but it has unfortunately faded with age. I also have the original sales invoice from the dealer. Seat has been wrapped in plastic so it's like new under there. It has factory optioned 4.56 gears, so this thing is a dog on the highway. It's only missing hubcaps and a jack - I replaced the missing ash tray insert and door chime buzzer with factory replacement parts. I've also gone ahead and given the motor a deep tune up with new vacuum port switches, EGR valve, idle stop solenoid, coolant temp switch, both oil pressure switches, cap/rotor/wires/plugs, smog and air filters, thermostat and water neck, fuel pump, coolant flush, and valve cover gaskets as the passenger rear corner had started weeping a bit - I used all OEM delco replacement parts. I'll be using this truck as my daily driver. I'm lucky to have it and I doubt I'll ever let it go. It's strange to drive an old squarebody that doesn't squeak or generally sound like you're riding in an empty oil drum rolling down the street! Anyway sorry for the long post...it really is a dream truck and I'm pretty excited.

You are going to find that nothing escapes the eagle eyes on this forum. If I hadn't called it out someone else would have.
