hi everyone havent been here in a while,now i have a stupid question.
how much hassle is it to swap doors?
hinges are good on both sets,my biggest worry is alignment....

Never done it myself but I have heard that it can be a real pain in the butt to get the doors to line up correctly. I may have to do it myself in the near future and I'm not looking forward to it.

depends on your skill level, it's not really that hard to line up the doors. you just need an extra hand, and/or a jack with a block of wood to help hold it up while you adjust it. if the rear sags, move the top hinge forward and the bottom back, vice versa. and if it sits in too far or not enough, then move the hinges inward or outward Edited by: shaved80 at: 8/21/06 1:55 pm

I have to do this myself, along with the fenders.....and the hood.
The top rear corner of the drivers door contacts the cab and has scraped the paint away. Otherwise the doors open and close very nicely. I figured in order to get a good reference for the fenders and hood, I have to get the doors in the right spot first eh?

well i have a set of gm doors, and skill level is pretty good,fenders are gm also and are right where they need to be so i guess it wont be that bad,better than welding on new door skins,just needed a kick in the butt i guess
any other tips would be helpful

I just am finishing up replacing the core support, both inner fenders, both front fenders, and both doors on my 74 3/4 ton. It isn't hard everything is bolt on parts, just take you time lining things up and thing like blocks of wood, shims and body washers help if you don't have another person to help hold things. A lot of trial and error but nothing hard. Getting the all the window parts and door latch out isn't bad either just do them one at a time so you can look at one if you get mixed up and need to see how something goes. Here is a pic:
