how do i get the headlight lamp installed properly? the circle metal thing that holds the lamp onto the head light bezel wont stay on. ive tried messing with it for a while it just wont stay on.
-
The headlamp ring is retained with three screws. Are the screws stripped? Can you post a pic?
-
oh i thought you just push them in? ill take a picture tonight. how are they suppose to be installed do i need to take out the bezel first?

You have to remove the headlamp bezel for access to the ring retaining screws. The ring should have three mounting tabs for the screws.
If you are using aftermarket headlamp rings, they generally are made from thin gauge plated steel, are relatively flimsy and will rust in the first 12 months of use. The GM #5964577 headlamp ring is made from stout stainless steel for 7" round headlamps. If you need new rings, the original factory part is expensive, but still available and worthwhile.

okay. no, i got the ring it just fell out some how. i see three tiny little hole around the ring they dont really look big enough for any type of screw ive ever seen...wouldnt even call them holes since there so tiny. are they suppose to be that tiny? literally look like less than a millimeter

The image below illustrates how the headlamp ring should appear.
Post a pic of what you have.
