let me first say hello, and that i am new to this forum. i bought an 86 c10 fleetside that needs some work and has issues. i recently failed emissions and passed everything else through my DMV. so i took out the EGR valve and cleaned it, put it back in and now it wont start. i dont think its getting gas to the carb? i also dont think my vacuum lines are right. ive had ( when the truck ran ) issues when i came to a stop with sputtering or just flat out stalled on me. so when i started the truck back up i would have to floor it with my foot on the brake pedal and kind of feather it like a clutch pedal to get going again. so now as it sits it turns over but doesnt start. im trying to add pics but it wont work. ill answer questions to the best of my knowledge. its a 4.3 v6 manual choke. thanks for the help

Remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve for now and see what it does. Make sure the choke is closing and that you didn't knock the wire off.

Which wire are you talking about? There is a blue wire with a grey connector that comes out of the main wire harness (passenger side) that I don't know were it goes.

the wire going to the choke

i don't think 4.3's ever came with manual choke?
