On the center of the scoop take a dremel or a file and file it till it sits flush with the hood. Some people use either screws or pop rivets, i use some auto body stuff that bonds fiberglass to metal. Its a 2 part epoxy that comes out of a cork gun type. But i watched on chop cut rebuild when they were doing a porsche that they took a quart of duraglass made by USC and bonded a fiberglass spoiler to a trunklid and it held up nicely so you can try that route. If you decide to do that  remember to make the bonding surfaces on the scoop and on the hood as clean as it can be and that means taking the hood surfaces for the bond to bare metal.

thanks

Got one more thing i would like to ask...This is my idea ...Since im putting a hood scoop on i want it to be a ram air .I plan on going to the junk yard getting an air box out of a car ..the square kind with the flat filter...Im gonna take the box Cut a hole on the bottem and mount it to the carb ....Take the lid of so the air will flow st8 down ...Cap the side port that i wont need...that came on the Air box..And when it rains put the lid on the box and un cap the side port...So that way when i use the scoop i got clean air and when it rains i dont have to worry about water.. I know it sounds crazy but im stumped I got the idea frome Scoop trays ...But thay dont have a filter and dont have a way to redirect the air for rain and snow :x
