Title: 1986 Silverado 2wd differential
Post by: cisco8604 on January 02, 2017, 10:55:15 pm
My truck has a new motor and rebuilt transmission but it's not moving replaced transmission with a new one still no movement both transmissions go in to gear . They only work in high rpm. I replaced governor gear, module, flushed lines , changed filters, I have a new vacuum line hooked up new coolant lines. I took off the differential cover no metal shavings. I put my truck on blocks dropped drive shaft transmission changes gears fine I put the shaft back on  no movement. Drive shaft does have about 3-4 inches of play maybe to short

Is the driveshaft yoke engaged into the trans?

Is the rear axle locked up?  This is a 2WD truck, right?
