Title: How Do I Fix This
Post by: JJSZABO on December 17, 2006, 07:15:00 pm
Hello,

New to this site - I have a 1886 chevy Truck C-10.  How do I fix the rust inside the rear, right taillight socket?  Are there any patch panels for this?

Any Help is appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff

I don't know of a patch panel for this area, but that dosn't mean they are not availible.

Thanks for the reply Blazin!

I need to repair the two upper mounting holes for the taillight assembly.  I guess I have to weld small "tabs" in where the holes were, and redrill new holes to mount the assembly.

Any thoughts - I hate to have to order another side bed panel.

Thanks for the help.

Jeff

Just weld little bits of metal in there as required. Doesn't have to look good. You could also rivet a pce. of metal in there.
