Title: Washer squirter
Post by: Tommyd11730 on January 08, 2017, 05:08:10 pm
I drove my 84 K2500 in its first snow storm today.  I was unimpressed how easily the washer squirter  (mounted in the cowl) nozzles froze up.  My 91 K5 with wiper mounted squirter performs so much better.  Got me to thinking, anyone ever convert the old style to the new style?

Actually I was looking at installing the ones that go on the wiper arm...The school buses have that style and i can set mine up for free...it sprays the whole windshield as it wipes.

Looks like each arm also has a transfer tube of sorts mounted to the firewall near the arm pivot.  Don't forget those.

if you have the proper -20° washer fluid it shouldnt freeze up and if snow is covering it you should clean it off anyway due to a chuck could come up and cover your window or fly off and hit someone else.
