Still working on the '84 C-10 I picked up from Texas and found 2 wiring harnesses down by the transmission, a 3 or 4 wire plug and a 2 wire plug that is disfigured. I figured they went into the transmission ( neutral safety switch, back up lights???) but need to scrape off 20 years of dried grease and dirt to find any place to plug in. The 3 or 4 wire harness has a round plug and can't figure out what the 2 wire has on the end of it, like it's been melted or something. Where do these go, what do they do and where could I get a replacement plug for the one that's damaged besides going to a wrecking yard? Truck was original 305/turbohydro 350 truck and has been upgraded to a GM crate 350. Any help appreciated as you guys are awesome!

Why don't you post pics?

More than a few of the connector shells are not difficult to source. However we don't know what you have without pictures.

On a 1984 those would be at the base of the steering column under the dash by the firewall. In 84 it may have had the 700R4 or the TH350C both had lock up functions that would account for one of the plugs... As suggested a picture is worth a bunch around here
