Title: AC Compressor Removal
Post by: morten87 on January 20, 2017, 09:01:48 pm
My AC doesn't work and I am replacing the belt for ac, power steering, crank and water pump tomorrow. Can I bypass the AC compressor pulley without any negative effects?

I can buy a belt for the motor that doesn't have AC, just the power steering, crank and water pump.

The truck:
1987 Chevy Silverado V10 350 5.7L

Thanks,
Jon

No, you need the the ac there or the pulley that goes in its place.
