I'm dropping in a 383 with a TH400 in a 73, however the previous owner changed our several parts with a newer c10, and I know I'm missing parts with this shift linkage.
Looks like I have the tube piece, connected on one side to the frame. My questions is first will this part work, or is it wrong for a TH400? Does anyone know where to get the other parts?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this, I have been searching ebay and the interwebs for a few days and have not been able to find a whole lot.

Here's another picture of what I'm working with

How many pedals are in the cab? That tube with attaching parts is clutch linkage. None of that will work for an automatic transmission.

Hey Vr4 you dont have a lot of room in your inbox since youre a new member. so clean it out.

Thanks for letting me know, makes more sense. There are just two pedals in the truck, and an automatic shifter column.
There is a cutout for a manual stick that has been covered up.
Any recommendations on what to get to make this work?

heres a diagram of all the parts. i would go to a scrap yard and try to find all the stuff. theres even a bracket that attaches to the frame that you would need

me personally i would go for that linkage i posted. by time you go to the junk yard and get all nice and muddy or whatever they might charge you 20 for the parts. so 30 dollars to stay clean and warm and have them shipped to your door. they look like theyve been on sale for 2 days. the picture i posted has red boxes and theyre rubber bushings and a plastic one. that shifter has the plastic bushing and a plastic sleeve but not the rubber. let me double check i might still have some parts in a room at the house but the kids are asleep so ill let you know tomorrow night. i norm charge $18 for them but in order to sell and buy stuff on here you have to be a site supporter which is a 25/year fee. if i can find them and if you pay to support the site ill just ship them to you for free.
