Title: SBC frame motor mount question
Post by: ant305 on February 10, 2017, 10:18:33 am
Hello all, I bought a 1974 c10 that has an Olds 403 in it. This is the most butchered install I've ever seen. The frame motor mounts are in different locations and destroyed.

I bought new motor mounts but since they were in different mounting locations, I don't know what to use. I'm installing a sbc. There is already a th350 in there. Anyone have any pics of there engine mounts with a sbc that was removed?

Just in case I'm not explaining myself correctly, I attached a picture. Please disregard the message and dots. As you can see there are two top holes on the frame, then a lower set. Do the mounts for a sbc belong on the upper, lower or does it not matter?

Are your frame perches original or correct to the truck or is they oldsmoboggie?

i don't know if these pics will help?  But they are for sbc into a truck.

There are numbers 6 and 8 marked on the perch.
