I have a 1985 K5 Blazer with a newer motor and transmission.
Mechanic told me the rear u-joint was bad. Replaced it myself and it was OEQ and came out as dust and small pieces of metal...
Drove about 200 miles and now I have a horrible vibration on acceleration.
When I start my truck it doesn't vibrate. The warmer it seems to get or the faster I go or the more load I put on it, then the more it vibrates.
Driving at highway speed it vibrates a bit. Accelerating gives me horrible vibrations. Taking my foot off the gas pedal makes it vibrate a bit as well. Put my foot back on the gas and as it revs the motor it vibrates pretty significantly.
Les Schwab drove it today and checked the u-joints. Said they are fine and that the vibration is engine related.
Motor mount? Just wondering what else could be wrong.
I live in the middle of nowhere, so I can't get into a mechanic for a week or more. Just curious at this point.

Who is Les Scwab? If it became present after replacing the u-joint then I would look there. Maybe you lost a needle bearing or changed the driveshaft phase when you removed it.

could you have squeezed the u-joint too much and causing it to bind up?
Les Schwab is a Tire Center, found this out via google lol
