Title: Ok to mix ATF brands of same type?
Post by: Jon87V20 on February 23, 2017, 03:09:03 pm
So I have two different brands of ATF but both are supposed to work with Dextron II/III transmissions etc. Is it okay to mix them together as long as they're the same type? I'm just trying to save $20 by not having to buy another one. Would this be okay in both a TH400 and an NP208 (can't remember if that's what goes in the transfer case, if not I'll buy some separate for that)?

Thanks!

its ok to mix brands. i mean when you drain your old fluid you leave a good amount behind in the TC. theres no telling what brand is in there. as long as its the same type youre good

just posted this the other day, might help you
