I just got a perfect stepside shortbed from a 1993 Chevrolet Truck. What will I have to do other than re-drilling holes to make the bed work on my truck? I know nothing about the wiring, so that is where I need help the most.

The wiring is color coded so that should be easy. Your best bet would be go to a salvage yard and get the frame end of the tail light wire harness and splice it onto your harness that way you can plug & unplug the tail lights. The cab cornes on the 73 87 cab don't roll in as fast as the newer style cabs. The lower front section will not line up perfect but can be fixed with a little fiberglass work.

ALready got the frame wiring... that was part of the deal getting the bed. I will have to igure something out.
Thanks.

The bed and wiring are at my house now. What do I have to do to bolt the bed down? This is referring to fabrication... beyond just drilling and fitting.

when you get the bed swapped out how about posting some pics. I wanted to do this to my truck, but I found a complete donor truck. Soon to go from 2wd to 4wd

Will do.
