Title: door seals
Post by: gpday06 on June 25, 2006, 12:08:00 am
i just got door seals that go on the cab of my '79 chevy and there so thick that when i go to close the door it wont close without slamming the door and im afraid to break something, the question is, is the seal the wrong one or do i just need to keep forcing it until the seal starts to compress over time?

i`ve replaced the seals on many vehicles including my 85 gmc pickup and i have always had to slam the doors to get them closed. it takes a while until they soften up.
