Hey Guys,
Came across this on Ebay while picking up a wiring diagram.
I thought these wire harnesses were about $600.

Is this sufficient or is it crap?

at first i was skeptical cause of the "universal" but it seams like its made for our trucks and it can be universal

look at his feedback...it is actually really good with as many sales that he has had.

Universal, looks like a cut and add terminal ends, for the price it seems really good. $600 ones are typically made just for that car and all ends are typically terminated with the correct connectors.

I would ask to see if it appropriately mates with the bulkhead connector. Universal ones typically will not have plug n play compatibility. I bought a 73-87 painless harness for my 74 which had the glass fuses and was too old to bother salvaging. My intent was to build my own harness however my time is more valuable then saving a few bucks. I can honestly say the actual 73-87 harnesses are worth the $ but realize they do not come with everything still. Door harnesses, engine compartment harness, ECM etc are typically not included in these kits. I would check with Chris and see what kind of deals he can get you since he is a dealer for AAW before you pull the trigger.

From your experience, is my bulk connector even salvageable?
Painless does certainly seem like the preferred way. There are others in the same price range, but I notice the 600-700 ones will come with the bulk connector and the cheaper ones do not. (Among other things maybe, I'm not yet familiar to be sure)

You had mentioned the ECM, they had those in the 73 and 74?
I just found this illustrative walk through of a Nova re-wire. Pretty interesting, honest and informative.
Thought I'd share

lol no ECM however the wiring harness they sell encompasses the 73-87 span. The bulkhead connector is part of the fuse panel
