Hello all. I'm working on a 1983 c10. I installed a belltech flip kit and new leaf springs. The leaf springs are 56" and I've placed the center pin forward. With the drop kit I've now noticed my rear pinion angle is approximately 6 degrees upward and certainly doesn't look right. I have two questions .
Does the center pin on the leaf spring go toward the front?
Is this most likely remedied by using a shim?
Also anyone know how to attach a photo from an iPhone?
Thanks for the input. Love this site.

Here's some pics of the drive line angle and the pinion. Is there a way to determine what to set the rear pinion at using the trans output and the ride height? Or is there just a general number of degrees to start with? There's also a pic of the axle and where I'm assuming the shim goes.

Pinion angle needs to be the same as the transmission tailshaft angle or vibration and binding will occur. Get a cheap angle finder and make them match with pinion shims that go between the axle and spring or in your case the spring and Belltech bracket.

Your truck needs to be sitting on it's wheels with the bed installed to properly set the pinion angle.
