I have a '79 K20 std cab. I replaced the rear fender back sections due to rust. This section of the rear fender has a inner splash shield that is also a support for this part of the fender. The driver's side was totally rusted out, and I cannot find an after market splash shield. My difficulty is that the splash shield is molded to the rear section of the fender and spot welded in. Does anyone know where an after market shield can be obtained?
I've looked at all the major supply companies, and even some smaller retailers, but no luck finding anything. I tried modifying a front fender patch for the back, but the radius (curve) is different, hence the panel sits lower on the rear. There was too much jerry rigging.

I am also needing a splash shield but was thinking of forming some 1/8 plastic from a mud flap in the shape needed and adding a brace like at the front of the wheel well. hope that helps.

Thanks kcwis. I replaced the rusted section & had about 2/3 of the remaining body panel leftover. Since it was in the shape of the fender section, formed it to fit. For the bowed out section, I cutout a wedge & welded the seam. Paint it black, and it looks good.

Great, Any recommendations on where to get a upper wheel arch patch panel?
I got one from a vendor that does not match the wheel well lip.

Looking for the same part - the brace that reinforces the lower rear bedside edge right behind the rear wheel. Removed mine to repair the bedside and put it "someplace safe where I wouldn't lose it." Now I can't find it. No one seems to stock it. It seems that it would be a common need, but I haven't seen it anywhere.

I've seen them for sale, I just can't remember where.

Are you not talking about the link I posted? The only other item is this one (pictured) which is not reproduced. I made these ones to replicate the ones on my truck for my trucks that didn't have them.

^^I pulled some of those out of a 70’s Jimmy and installed them on my K10. Bolted right up.

I never understood why they didn't put them on all of them.
