Title: Clock polarity
Post by: fiddler on May 03, 2017, 02:00:39 pm
I have a 1974 chevy c10 stepside.  I am installing a 1973 gauge housing in much better shape than my old one.  The 73 has a clock.  The 74 does not have the wiring for it.  Which terminal is hot on the clock, the horizontal or the vertical?

Thanks for your response,

ricky

The 'vertical' terminal (image) should be B+ and the 'horizontal' terminal should be ground.  I suspect an AC Delco PT303 and possibly a PT1501 will connect to the clock with the correct terminal spacing and size, but actual fit needs to be physically verified.

Thank you.  I presently have it wired with terminal lugs, but I would much rather install a connector so I will pick one up next time I am in town.
