Title: No noise through speakers

I picked up a 75 olds with an am radio. I figured its probably universal thruogh most cars so i would just use this forum.  Anyway the speqkers have no sound but if i turn the volume up i can hear just a slight tone of the musuc coming through but the noise comes out of the radio not the speakers.

What have you done so far to trouble-shoot it?

Fuses?
Followed the wires?
Looked for grounding issues and shorts?

Fuses are good. I need to do some wire tracing
