if i was to take a 427 big block out of a school bus would it bolt right in a mid 70's frame. anybody know anything about the 427 tall deck engine, are they good motors? is it worth me messing with? thanks for any help.

All they are is a 427 with taller pistons for more rings, hence the need for a tall deck block. No benefits unless you plan a making more cubic inches. You would have to buy spacers for a normal deck intake to work with it.

It wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.  Their original application was for low rpm/ high torque.  Unless you plan to build a high dollar race motor, I would skip it.
