Title: 79 C10 fusible link on starter/truck starts slow
Post by: 50dan on June 06, 2017, 04:49:59 pm
Truck use to start slow on hot starts now doing it all the time.  I think it may be a bad fusible link by the starter it has some bare wire showing.   How can I replace the fusible link on my starter wire?  It looks like 2 wires going into a short plastic housing then 1 wire coming out.  I don't see these available at any parts stores?

while youre at it also clean all your connections and dont forget about the ground cables and make sure you have a ground from the battery directly to the engine (normally on the alt bracket)
