Title: 1974 C10 Underdash Insulation
Post by: Wili74 on June 08, 2017, 12:39:17 am
Had heater core leak, got new core and now putting it back together. All the insulation around the heater was soaked with antifreeze. I tore it all out around the leaking heater, along with the black "cardboard?" stuff that covered the fuzzy insulation. Now I got bare metal. Any suggestions on what I should put back in?

when my heater core leaked last year i pulled back the vinyl mat and found a nice amount of coolant had gone underneath so i parked it on an angle so that water would run out and i rinsed the coolant out with the hose, after i left the mat peeled back for a week or so to allow the insulation stuff to dry
