Post by: mgr3614 on October 05, 2005, 03:11:00 pm
I was having truble with my timing. I got it pretty close but now i realized that theres problaly a leak somewhere. The truck will idle very high with the choke all the way closed. When i open the choke the truck dies. Any ideas?

When did this start?  What was the last thing that changed before this started?  Typicaly you can spray WD-40 around the intake and find the location of the leak.

Put a vacuum guage on a full time port and see what happens to needle as it idles. A vac guage can tell you a lot about what's going on.
