Title: Quadra Jet Question

Hey guys my 350 has a quadra jet on it and I noticed while im going down the road if I floor it its like it goes dead for a second and then it kicks in it does good after that its like it floods out when the four barrel kicks in. Any help would be great!

Two words: Accelerator Pump.  

It supposed to give it a jolt of gas when you accelerated b4 the gas would ordinarily get there.  Sometimes the HELP section of auto stores has the qjet accelerator pump.  Simple replacement.

just my 2 cents.  That is my first guess anyway.

Secondary air valve spring is too loose. You need to tighten the spring just a hair and retest. The air flap valves are opening too fast.

Yea, You have to be right TRUCK6DRIVER I went out there to tighten it and found there was NO spring on it to tighten :lol  What kind of spring do I need? Strength wise.
