I came across 2 33" duratracs and 2 33" big mud terrains. I want to put them on the truck until budget allows new shoes all around.
Considering all 4 are aprox 50% which should be front and which rear ? Thanks for the help.

Duratracs front. Mud tires in back.

Assuming your referring to BFG Mud Terrains and Goodyear Duratracs:
Duratracs are softer and tend to have a lot of tread squirm and sidewall flex so putting them up front will make the truck feel wishy-washy and disconnected from the road, therefore I recommend the BFG up front.

Just wondering what the reasoning. I think it would be looks.

you want the tires with better traction in the rear even in a FWD car. the reason being if youre taking a turn the rear has a higher chance of sliding out if it looses traction more than the front.

Irish
So which do you figure is the better traction? Duras are wider contact with side wall bite but mud terrains are more aggressive
-
dont know cant answer truthfully. you can however do a google search for those tires and the "traction rating" but that really only covers straight movement. the side pattern of the tires are the turning traction of the tire. they both are "all season" tires and neither one is strictly a street tire.
if it was me i would just put the tires with the most tread on the rear.

Sounds like 2 votes for Dura in front. Bfg mt in rear.
-
They are both 50% ish
-
if they are all 50% your probably just splitting hairs.
go with what you think looks better

Better than 50 no more than 80. Still good tires. Looks mt up front function dura up front due to side bite. Oh well who says can't s itch them around for a mud bog 😂
