i remember seeing this in a streettrucks (or maybe truckin) mag, where they hid the taillights inside the tailgate, covered them with plexiglass, and painted over it, so they were only noticeable when the lights were on. anyone else remember this? i am gonna try this on the turn signals...good thing i have spare fenders to experiment
(any tips and suggestions on how to do this would really help, i'm just gonna mess around with it)

Not the same but I painted an Elcamino years back and we put Chevy bow tie stickers on the side marker lights and sprayed over them then peeled them off, It looked pretty good. It still looks pretty good. I have seen where someone ground down the third brake light filled it with body filler the blocked it off painted and cleared over it so it only showed when lit. The problem with that is metal and plastic expand and contract differently, eventually it will crack around the edge. Edited by: Blazin at: 5/6/05 8:26 pm

you know that's a cool idea, it would look good on your truck because basically your whole truck is all custom and i think it would be a good addition to it.
