Title: New 1978 c10 custom 8ft box six cylinder only 32 miles
Post by: Willey on August 22, 2017, 10:43:20 am
I recently purchased a 1978 one owner truck that only has 32 miles on it the person that bought it parked it and never drove it, a condition of the estate it had to be actioned. Several people have told me I should not drive but look for a collector or museum that may be interested. Not sure what to do, I bought it to drive but don't want to harm the historical value of this survivor (http://)

You could contact the GM Heritage Center, see if they are interested in having it in there museum. It would still belong to you, but it would be housed and cared for in the museum. Museums do that sort of thing a lot, usually there is a little sign that goes next to the item and somewhere on the sign it say something like "This piece on loan to the GM Heritage Center, courtesy of 'Your Name Here'"

I think it would be pretty awesome to have my truck or even one of our members trucks being cared for in the GM Heritage Center. That's like a holy   grail type thing.

Make sure you get a bunch of legal documents to make sure the truck isn't damaged or messed with and will always be returned back to you. That's probably something they take care of in the loan agreement if you take that route though.
