I've got what I guess are the stock steel rims on my 83 gmc C1500. Does anyone know the width and backspace on these?
-
stock rims are 15 x 6" wide and weigh about 22-23 lbs. each.
Not sure of the backspace. Give me a few hours or days.

I've looked into this extensively myself
Don't know about stock but I believe 15X7 5 lug are also popular on 1500's (ralleys)
Original rims are stamped with a specific code.
I'm not near my files at the moment so I can't list specifics.
Original GM wheels are a topic all by themselves, stamping, date codes, back spacing etc.
Do a search and your likely to find a load of information.

I ended up getting a set of rims from a guy on Craigslist. I think they're around the same 15x7 size, maybe a little wider? I know they've got a little more offset than the ones I had on there..

Anyone have info on stock C20 wheels? I know they're 16" and 8x6.5 bolt pattern but interested in what the backspacing is.

Most info I’ve seen shows 4” of back space for these trucks, at least on 15x8 and 15x10 rims.

I think OEM is 4.25" back spacing for the 8"
