Title: Pinion angle
Post by: SinisterC10 on August 23, 2017, 03:23:54 pm
I just got done installing a Belltech 6" flip kit on my 1984 2wd Shortbox and am wondering what I should set the pinion angle at? Right now it's slightly tipped down around 3*.

Also what should my transmission output shaft be angled at? I have a Th400 trans and installed a Scorpion Performance crossmember so I need to make sure I don't have the transmission angled up or down too much. I hear that these trucks should have about 7* total but not sure how I'm suppose to get that 4* from the transmission and whether or not it needs to be angled down or up. I would assume since the pinion is down 3* then the transmission would need to b angled up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
