Title: Stock Rims
Post by: stephene9653 on August 26, 2017, 01:13:52 pm
I have a '74 Chevy C10, and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get stock rims to replace the rims I have on my truck.

You can buy stock rims from just about any wheel supplier, but my first choice would be a junkyard.

If you buy them with tires, the wheels will usually be clean inside, so you just have to remove the tire, clean up the bead area, and repaint.  When you get the tires installed, have the dealer put in new valve stems.

Just check carefully to make sure used wheels are not dented or out of true.  Side collisions often hit the wheels, and you don't want one that is crooked.

When I bought mine from a Pick and Pull, the cost of a used wheel & tire was about $25.   I made sure to pull them off a similar vintage square body so that I knew they would fit.
