so my truck was dying on me today. Is there a single cause for my truck to stall while in drive. i have replaced a lot and am going to rebuild the carb this weekend i think to seal itup. but any ideas on how to do a diagnostic on what may be causing this would be nice
I have it set and it runs good at 650rpm at idle. when i drop it into drive or reverse my RPM drops, which i kind of expect, but it drops alot.
i had to increase idle speed to 1200RPM, roughly using dash tach, to maintain 650 in drive today while coming to work after stalling when stopping because traffic does not move.
My engine is after market so not sure if the CAM differential plays a part int he need of a higher RPM, http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Performance/809/19355658/10002/-1
The spec ont he sheet though says idle shodl be set to 650RPM. but paper and real world dont always line up

vacuum leak would be the first suspect to me
