Title: 250 head
Post by: usmcchevy on December 30, 2005, 08:50:00 am
im in the process of building my 250 inline 6. and i got my head all done now i got a question. there is a section of metal between the two intake ports that the headbolt passes through, would it be a problem if i cut those out for better flow. my uncle says it will be ok, but im alittle hesitant cuz then i might crack the head if i cut those supports out. what do you all think?

If you remove that section, what is going to hold the head?  There is a mod that the top I6 companies do that modify the head, but I hear removing that decreases flow instead of helping.  Call Sissell and see what they recommend.
