Hey guys, me again. 87 r10 305 tbi 700r4. Truck is off, I start it up doesn't matter if I shift into drive or reverse, it will almost die. It stumbles until it catches itself. It doesn't matter if it is warmed up or not. Anyone have a clue as too what might be going on? Started doing this about 3 weeks ago and just getting worse

Is the service engine soon (SES) light illuminating when the symptoms occur? Last month you were going to have the ECM scanned for trouble codes. Did you? What codes were stored?
-
and spray carb clean at the base of the TBI to see if it changes engine speed.
-
Had it scanned and no fault codes. Just replaced the tbi base gasket. No warning light is on except when you first turn the ignition.
-
The body of the TBI could be worn at the throttle shaft and leaking air though. Possibly EGR valve also.
-
Can't I just take the egr off??? Sprayed and no change in idle
-
Pull the vacuum hose off of the EGR valve and plug it. See if the symptoms go away.

Have you checked fuel pressure?

Haven't checked fuel pressure. What is the easiest way to check it?

Anyone have an idea on this? It is acting like manual when the clutch isn't releasing all the way. All I need is a direction to head but I have never heard of this. Thanks
