I have a set of 15x8 6 lug 10 slot Oem rally's from a 73-87 GM pickup
Not sure from what year?
according to "tire rack" database information I received during a call to the order line they say the 235/75 will only fit up to 7" rims and that I will need to use 235/70 for proper fit on an 8" rim.
Could someone elaborate on this protocol?
If the two widths are the same at 235 why shouldn't the 235/75 work on the 15x8 rims ?
I will be using these on an older 65 chevy 6 lug pickup as I understand the bolt pattern is the same.
I like the way the truck currently sits with the 235/75 tires and would rather not loose the roughly one inch in height on the 235/70 tires.
Did not really want to go lower.
Thanks for the advice

I think someone doesn't know what they're talking about...

Doesn't matter, I would honestly go 245-70, that should put you at roughly the same height as 235-75...I think, maybe it was 255-70.
A 235 (does not matter aspect ratio.) Normally fits on a 6-8" wide rim. I know jeep Cherokee put 225 on 8" rims.

Would you care to elaborate m3?

Kaiser pretty much summed it up, lol.
