I have an 84 SWB with a straight 6 that I recently bought.
I noticed the Oil pressure gauge had no movement and replaced the sending unit yesterday.
I now notice some pressure reading a little less than half way between 0 and 30 marks on the guage, but it moves very little when I rev the engine. Is that normal? Seems to be low to begin with and I would expect it to move more when giving it gas? The engine seems to run fine with no oil burinng and oil is not leaking anywhere. Should I not worry about it or is there something more possibly going on?
Thanks in advance for the help!

I would worry about it.
I don't know how many miles are on your truck, but I would atleast drop the oil pan and look at the pickup screen of the pump. Once you have the pan down, might as well spend $30 and get a new oil pump.
They are easy to replace and it is worth it for the piece of mind.

Thanks for the advice.
It has very high miles, so I will drop the pan on the next oil change and do as advised. I did not want something major going on that I could address now and prevent engine total failure.
Thanks,
David
