they didn't even try to make the stripe match the body lines...

Just like they did with the VW bug and Ford Thunder"Chicken" trying to revive a classic but it will never be the same. Neat idea but I wouldn't get one.

I posted a picture of that truck in my monster truck build thread last week. I have had several people text that truck’s picture to me. It’s a nice looking truck. It might be nice to have the 1st, but not if there are 50 like it your hometown.

I don’t think that was their intention. I think they were going for the ‘73~’80 look.

Actually as I think about it. A regular cab long bed or even short bed with 6” of lift and 35”s with that retro styling would be a homerun.
-
Regular cab 8 foot box 4x4 for me. I think its cool to see. All the new trucks are getting boring looking.

Isn't that cute, a wanna be 8)

that's just it though the 73-80 two tone was alone the body line and in line with the head lights and tails lights, on this they have the stripe too low to match the body lines or line up with the lamps, this could have been executed so much better but even if it was i'd still take the real square over it anyday

Yup, nothin like the genuine article!

I saw this on another forum...initial thought-"cool, I like it", about 2 seconds of staring...."ehhh, could have been done better and different"
I personally like 2 tones (not all, but the green with a beige or white looks good, grey/black with a burgandy/maroon color) but this truck just looks forced, it looks like one of those kids whose told to dress up for holiday photos, and no amount of smiling can hide that discomfort/hatred.
