I saw a thread a little while ago that talked about this topic, but now I cannot find it.
What year of square bodies had the bench with the pockets in the seat for the seatbelts to come up through? My '91 crew does not have the pockets in the seat bottom and the seatbelts anchors have had to be turned-around so that they will have more length to come up between the base and seatback. I would like to correct this!

Here's one post about it:

Thanks! I think that was the thread I remembered. So 81+ bench seat is what I am looking for. I am not sure if what is in mine is an 80 or older seat or if the previous owner had it recovered and eliminated the pockets. I can't see why you would do that.

If you turn your seat upside down you will clearly see a rectangle hole cut in the seat foam if it was a 81 or newer seat originally...
