I just bought this truck, and dont have much experience with C10, so sorry if this is a dumb question. The bezel isnt sitting correct on the dash pad, and I dont know if its the wrong pad, or the wrong bezel. Its a Canadian c10 with air. Pictures are below. Ive included pics of the pad and the bezel from different angles. Thanks for any input you may have. I will be replacing one or the other.

Without seeing it in person it appears to be a poorly made reproduction dash.

It appears to me that pad is higher on left side in relation to bottom of windshield. Doesn't seem to be seated fully. That is my view from the pic anyway.

If it helps, these are the numbers behind the bezel. I dont know if it matters or not, but this was a Canadian truck.

I bought a new dash pad (not a cover) from and you have to cut it a bit to make it fit. Even with doing that it doesnt fit perfect. With that said mine fits better than the picture. The clips do not engage with the truck (metal under dash) they the ones over the glove box and ashtray are just shy.
The dash bezel fit ok though not perfect. For what thes dash pads cost it is irritating they are not a perfect fit or more perfecter ;)....
From your pics something ist right. Id take it off and see where and why its coming up line that.make sure its the right dash pad. sent the wrong one to me at first..

From what I can see, there is an obvious difference between the 81-87 dash pads compared to the other model years. So I would assume this would have to be the correct one. I think the guy before me bought it at www.truckandcarshop.com in Concord NC. The quality seems really good, but what do I know, lol. Here are some pics of the back of the dash pad. as you can see, some of the clips are broken, (this is another issue, hope epoxy helps)

Upon looking more closely at the pics it would appear, You have to get a razor blade and trim some of the dash for the bezel to fit somewhat properly. I did with the mine. The bezel will “hide” where you trim. They state this when you buy it. And the few vids online make mention of this as well.
Go small, you can always trim more but you cant put material back on.

You can buy replacement clips. They can br a bit of a bitc€ to put in. And yes the dash was more “squared” in those years from previous ones. They (earlier) had a slope to them. Just google image search
If this dash is correct as well as the bezel it “should” fit. Like I said I had to trim my dash for it work to an acceptable level..

If you zoom in on the second pic you can see it isn’t exactly flush with the bezel but its good enough.
Also the clips are too short to latch on top the end two latch. Its hard to tell really just annoying since these arent cheap. You may have received one that was a crap production or defective, send it back.

i had the same problem with new dash top, bezel was tight. just takes a bit of fiddling. new is never the same

Dope truck BTW!! 8)...I see your Dash Bevel seems to be straighter across than mine. Maybe thats why my corners dont sit right on mine. I will take a pic from the top down when I get home today.

Never buy those rubber blob dash pads. They simply do not fit good and you will never be happy. Return it if you can. This site sells the oem style pads.

His bezel looks right for the period. And so does the dash pad. But who knows with these aftermarket dash pads. I would see how they lined up outside of the truck. Make sure everything is snapped in good under the windshield then make a decision on if the dash pad needs to be trimmed some to fit the bezel.
My dash pad was cracked six ways from Sunday. I ended up cutting out the cracks and filling with spray foam then covering with cloth (50% cotton / 50% spandex) and coating with polyresin. Once cured, I will skim coat it with body filler, texture it to mach the other plastics and paint. I figure the man hours out weigh the price of an aftermarket replacement. Plus I can delete the speaker holes.
