Title: Gas Tank Wire ?

I have 2 wires coming off my sending unit on my gas tank...one is a ground..does the other go straight to the gas gauge behind the dash? I tried followin the wiring schematics (sp) for my truck but couldn't figure it out.  Thanks

The signal wire (probably pink) goes to the 18 pin elect. connector behind the instrument panel. At that point, the connector connects into the circuit board, which carries the signal to the gauge.
