To add more info on my truck it runs decently and can be used to take me from point A to B but I don’t fully trust it on highways due to its low performance which is what I’m trying to work on I care more for performance than looks, thanks again

welcome from maryland

take a look here (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=32584.0), for some areas/post to check out. first thing to check out is the safety (i.e. brakes, tires, brake fluid, coolant, oil and trans fluid) then do a tune up (plugs, wires if needed, fuel filter, air filer and trans fluid and oil changes) then learn how to tune up your carb and set your timing. most of that stuff can be found in the link i posted.
