Post by: redhilbil81 on November 11, 2017, 07:24:38 pm
Hey guys anybody rebuilt the steering gear box,I know the seal kits are not very much,or do you come out better just buying one already rebuilt, mines leaking at the input shaft so I’m debating on which way to go ?

I usually find them pretty worn out by the time they start leaking. I no longer waste my time, slap a new one in and DTR -Lifetime warranty on most reman units.

If you want to go better than part store remans take a look at Red Head steering boxes. Heard they are good.
I have a reman Cardone that’s about 5 years old that is nice and tight but starting to leak at the output.
Considering going the Read Head route. They are pricey .
