Bizarre.
And i thought GM wanted to kill themselves with stopping olds and pontiac (ok the obama administration.....)

I could never own a car, so impractical. In fact in New England it baffles me why anyone would not own an AWD or 4WD vehicle as primary. 6 months of the year we get snow and crummy weather. The roads have potholes deep enough to swallow a small car and your visibility around all of the SUV's and trucks puts you at a major disadvantage.
-
And trucks look so much better!

Not so long ago ford had the best selling car on North America
Now they won’t be making any passenger cars at all
Kind of sad they are conceding defeat to the Japanese
The best selling car now is the Camry
The gave up small pickups years ago to the Japanese
GM stopped making the fiero shortly after they saw the Toyota MR2

I may be overlooking something obvious, but what does this mean for fords presence in nascar? don't they need a production model to race, even though the cars all have to conform to the template?
-
That's a good question. i guess they will allow the mustang?

Sadly the nascar cars all all identical now with different fake headlights stickers on the front to sort of resemble different cars
They are already calling one of em the mustang
